In Memory of Nikolay Nikulin For many years Pieter Bruegel the Younger’s John the Baptist Preaching has not been on display. This exhibition, which marks completion of conservation of the painting, is devoted to the tenth anniversary of the death of Nikolay Nikulin, long-standing curator of Netherlandish and early German painting at the State Hermitage Museum. Nikulin was also a Professor at the Repin State Academic Institution of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (the Academy of Arts) in St Petersburg.
