The exhibition is part of a series of mobile exhibitions “The Artist and the Time” to be shown in the graphics halls as part of the program “The Tretyakov Gallery Opens its Storerooms”. It will continue to present to the viewers the Russian drawing of the XIX – early XX centuries. The exhibition will show approximately 200 works of luminaries of Russian graphics, V. M. Vasnetsov, M. A. Vrubel, N. N. Ge, I. E. Repin, V. A. Serov, and V. I. Surikov. Each of the presented masters raised the art of drawing and watercolors in Russia to previously unknown heights. The art of each of them will be demonstrated monographically, with the best and characteristic works in a separate room.
