While the Hermitage boasts a collection of works representing nearly all of the prominent masters of that period, the exhibition introduces visitors to the little-known part of the museum’s collection. It comprises 27 exhibits, among them two reliefs, apparently produced in the workshop of Lorenzo Ghiberti, different variants of compositions attributed to Desiderio da Settignano, Antonio Rossellino and Benedetto da Maiano as well as busts created at the workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio. Acquisitions of 2019 from a private collection also make an interesting addition to the exhibits on display.
