Design! the Future is a field of discuss on how we should make our future. We can see the possibility of future design that solves social issues such as things, residential environment, healthy life and sustainability based on smart technology, which are the protagonists of the 4th Industrial Revolution, from the perspective of research institutes, universities and design groups. Design is the power to change the world.

 What will our lives look like in the future? It seems to be much harder to predict the upcoming future although for which expectations and anxieties are mixed together. Considering that a future is not a thing that just happens, but that we make, it is urgently needed to provide a forum to discuss what kind of a future we should make at greater length.The Design! The Future is an exhibition where such a question will betaken seriously from a perspective that design is a driving force to changethe world. In particular, this exhibition will be a venue where diverse futuresthat will change the meaning of life will be presented: such futures will be brought about by smart technologies accompanied with the upcoming the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Open Kite aims to show people how sharing-based design can have a positive impact on their lives. print it through 3D printer,create a kite in the shape and size they want.

Made with filter paper, which can convert polluted water into drinking water.The filter paper can remove 99.99% of bacteria in water, and only one page can purify approximately 100L of polluted water.

Smog Free Project provides a local solution for clean air in public spaces. Sharing a Smog Free Ring is tantamount to donating 1,000㎥ of clean air to the city.

“Jellyfish Barge” is a floating agricultural greenhouse. Aiming to promote urban agriculture, it features a system that generates clean water and energy using only solar energy.

Now that everything can be interpreted as data, the future is no longer unpredictable. Real Prediction Machines” uses big data and applies it to the home in order to enrich people’s daily lives.

Using a 3D food printer,it provides specific nutrients needed by each patient. There is also a community platform on which patients can share 3D food printer recipes that are tasty and nutritious.

Lumos Helmet makes bicycle riders clearly visible both at night and during the day.the LED light on the helmet provides drivers with indications regarding the bicycle’s direction and movement.

"Self Healthcare System" Made from real moss, Green Wall can control the humidity of a space; purify the air; and generates white noise.

“Connecting Dots Project” enables young people around the world to make significant contributions to society and develop their own identities.

"Happy Life" operates based on the profiling technology, which identifies and gathers continuously changing data. It analyzes the emotional state of a family member and allows the results.

Post/Biotics Toolkit” is a set of tools that can be used to make antibiotics using materials collected directly from nature, freeing people from their reliance on pharmaceutical products.

Mobility in the Future
What will be the future of mobility? The main theme of this exhibition is “figuration and imagination.” This exhibition presents the future of mobility that has been invented and evolved to appease the human desire to move freely from place to place. By utilizing diverse media and methods, which include visual materials and images, three-dimensional models, real-life vehicles, and hands-on activities such as the future of mobility in virtual reality and individual mobility, the exhibition attempts to present the future of mobility to the public. 

Haven is an autonomous vehicle-based mobility solution for users suffering mental disorders, thus in need of proper treatments accordingly.

Based on four types of virtual user scenarios, this project plans to make suggestions for future megalopolis traffic environments.

Wearable robot assists the muscle movement of the user. it represents the intrinsic value of mobility technology given that they can empower users with physical disabilities.

Customized and personalized mobility solution created by using 3D printing technology. The Open Structure Mobility Concept shows the future direction for personal mobility design.

This wearable mobility solution is aware of the sense of speed and approaches the pleasure of traveling.It is inspired by the concept of a wearable suit and designed after a scorpion

"The Autonomous Caddy Robot, which was designed based on an mous vehicle platform, is a self-driving mobility solution for users enjoying diverse outdoor leisure activities such as golf."

Future of shopping
Artificial intelligence devices with speech recognition, camera and machine learning directly connect consumers and corporations by minimizing the steps necessary to access online shopping. we can imagine a future where a new form of self-sufficiency becomes attainable through “self-manufacturing” capabilities. Although this exhibition focuses on anticipations and imaginations revolving around future shopping and our lives, it carries macroscopic implicationson how the 4th Industrial Revolution will change our lives and the market economy. Hopefully every visitor will find meaningful answers to the role design plays in a world of new technologies and how we should be defining ourselves in this near future

The GoCart, autonomous delivery robot that can fulfill diverse delivery needs. It take over repetitious mundane tasks at set intervals or designated times with a maximum load of 300kgs.

Google Cardboard is featuring a cardboard structure with a pair of focal distance lenses and magnets that becomes an affordable VR headset when a smartphone is attached.

The Lost Luggage project looks to 3D printing to obviate unwieldy baggage in favor of a 3D-printed travel kit recreated from a single computer file; an innovative message with fantastic implications.

XD‒X8U is created for public safety and disaster relief.It features a multipurpose operating system capable of monitoring and providing reconnaissance over mountainous terrain, delivering relief aid.

This dropbox that serves multiple functions from mail, parcel, and courier, to payment and reception. Conventionally, remote dropboxes required Internet-connectivity

Renewable Energy
This exhibition sets out to provide a general concept of what new and renewable energy is, what relevant products are already available to us, what policies are in place, and what studies are being done. Through a better understanding of this alternative energy, visitors will be able to get a better sense of what they can do to make things happen. It will provide an opportunity to glance at how to produce and consume new and renewable energy at an individual level, as well as at the level of communities, cities, and countries. Visitors may hopefully ponder upon what role design is taking amidst this present shift, and what role it will assume in the future.

Mobile Solar Power Station (MSPS) is a concept design aimed for people who drive electric vehicles,especially over long distances.

Clutch bag that can harness sunlight and charge portable batteries and smartphones, making sustainable energy technology stylish and easy to use.

The solar condenser plate is often a motley installation on a building’s exterior. It is not only an eyesore, but its installation method is economically inefficient.

The colored pieces of glass generate electricity from daylight, and can even harness diffused sunlight. The electricity can be used to power a whole range of electrical appliances.

Solar Paper can reliably charge a smartphone in about 2.5 hours on a sunny day-which is about the same capacity as a wall charger.

The Packlite series was first developed to help refugees in Haiti after an earthquake.it can be charged with sunlight or a USB, and waterproof which makes it useful in disaster situations as well as in outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.

The table surface contains a dye-sensitized solar cell. These are able to function even under diffused light. it harvests energy indoors, utility and aesthetics are combined in everyday objects.
