The adventure of Vincenzo Florio which would have placed the Targa Florio on the top of the world of motor racing started on the 6th of May 1906 in the Pista Vecchia suburb in Campofelice.
There are names which recall emotions. Buonfornello, Cerda, Collesano, Bivio Polizzi and Campofelice are magic words for many fans, and lovers of the Targa Florio. One of these is surely Antonino Venturella who has collected for twenty years all kinds of documents, photographs, magazines, models, trophies as well as a large editorial production from all the world . Remarkable the collection of original posters and very impressive the gigantic a sloping surface made with commemorative ceramic tiles for each edition of the race: each tile of this mosaic shows the year, the names of the winners, the type of car and time of the race. One of the most interesting objects on display is the touching letter from Leo Kinnunen's family, a 1970's recordman on Porsche 908.
