WONDERWALLS: SHINING THE SPOTLIGHT ON WOMEN STREET ARTISTS

The Women’s Forum Street Art Project shows how much we’re missing if we believe street art to be the exclusive province of men. Ten women street artists from around the globe take part and contribute artwork on theme "She's a Leader”.

Meet the women behind the walls...

“Whatever the surface, paper, rock, walls, murals, I take charge of the stains or lines I see and that is when the process of creation happens.”

“In Portugal, as in the rest of the world, there are not many women artists dedicated to Street Art. However I follow the work of some Portuguese and foreign women artists. I find their work astonishingly powerful but also delightfully subtle.

It is our opportunity to stand for and represent the contemporary woman: strong, powerful, hard worker, mother, lover and a free individual.”
