Calcio Sociale

“Among the most controversial architectural works of post-war Italy”
The Corviale, also called "Serpentone" (the big snake) unfolds itself through a kilometer of houses, 9 floors and 1260 apartments.

An impressive and gargantuan structure, entirely built in reinforced concrete. Being a social housing with a long history of decay and occupation, the Corviale is a symbolic district.

And symbolic is the story that Massimo Vallati tells us. Founder of Calcio Sociale, with his own work transforms an abandoned area of the neighborhood into a place of excellence, sport, social respect and bio-architectural sustainability.
