The Monte Rubello alpine summer camp was built by Ermenegildo Zegna in 1952. The purpose was to provide an educational and therapeutic program for children of employees in local industries.

In the exhibition there are images and memories conserved in the Zegna Archive and acquired thanks to the people who attended the alpine colony in the past and the Zegna Camps today.

The exhibition tells the memories, but also the new perspectives: the alpine colony of the past are the Zegna Camp of today; same values of the past, but with a different approach.

Crumbs of adventure accompany the passing of days at the Zegna Camps in the landscape and environmental setting of the Oasi Zegna.

During the 18 years of the colony's opening, several thousand children played and lived together.

Every summer, until 1969, more than 200 children of Lanificio Zegna employees and companies associated with the Unione Industriale Biellese enjoyed a few weeks of good mountain air.
