The virtual exhibition “Remembering All, Remembering Always!” devoted to the 70 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and included works of painting, graphics, a sculpture and arts and crafts from funds of the National Fine Arts Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
The exposition included works of authors of the different generations and creative aspirations united by the general subject and the general destiny - through life of the majority of them there passed the Great Patriotic War. One masters were participants of military operations, it took away from others native, having singed their childhood and youth in war fire.
In associative composition of Isay Kapitonov "Road. Year 1941" (1985) experiences of the author are expressed through a plastic essence of the work transferring a state, mood. In a picture there is no open action. Silence – one of its main characters. Silence disturbing, filled with expectation of the coming nearer thunder-storm. It is felt in intense and drama color, in outlines of hills, a heavy lead smooth surface of the river, the low uneasy sky. Hardly designated characters, the woman with the child rising on the way to the mountain supplement dimensions of the image, reporting feeling of tragic element in preguessing of cool vital turns with all weight of that it is necessary to feel.
From among the veterans which came back home – 12 residents of Yakutsk, and also 18 veterans of the war time became famous artists of our republic. Directly participated in military operations: S. L. Alexandrov, T.V. Ammosov, P. I. Dobrynin, D. I. Ilyin, P. T. Karsanayev, L.A. Kim, E. M. Krylov, M. V. Novikov, V.P. Popov, A.G. Prokopiev, K. N. Pshennikov, I. I. Tumusov. National artists of the Republic P.P. Romanov, G. M. Turalysov, M. F. Mamayev, A. V. Fedorov, the honored worker of arts of the Republic L. M. Gabyshev, remaining in the back, organized exhibitions, having turned art into the weapon against the enemy. Brilliant skill of satirists, publicistic pathos and heat of angry feelings distinguishes poster art of that time.
The complex philosophical content expressed by means of plasticity in Marianna Lukina's picture “Sleeplessness” (1995). In a composite system of a picture, in limit laconicism of a form and color the internal state of mind of the hero is expressed. Transforming subject action due to psychological filling of such components of composition as a figure and space, the artist deepens the contents it would seem such abstract subject as memory. Symbolically and the name of the work opening the problem bearing in itself thoughts about life. The image of the old soldier created by the artist, in clothes with which we associate certain time, bears in itself an echo of the died-down war, pain of the old wounds haunting. In art interaction of memory with the general world, the author in essence solves a subject of a belonging of the person to the time and at the same time by time eternal, bearing in himself images of those who leaves, leaving to people the big drama world for the sake of which so many lives were given.
In big art heritage of Peter Romanov who was fruitfully working in 1943 portraits of military in which intonations of spiritual beauty of the people tested by a hard wartime dominate attract attention. Such is a smart portrait the “Lieutenant G. P. Balanov” representing the hero in full military regimentals with a checker.
Yury Spiridonov in composition “In the Arctic Non-War Territory of the Year 1943. The Meeting with Allies” (2010) addresses to almost not lit page of the history – the help of the allies who significantly supported the Soviet Union since the beginning of a change during war. On opposition of the huge in its concreteness sea giant which moored to the coast and the sincere people meeting him in the pleasure, various emotional lines are crossed among themselves. It is open conviviality and the hidden everyday expectations on the one hand those who did this long difficult way, with another – those who waited for this moment from the very beginning of war. The color palette of the work constructed mainly on opposition of dark mass of the case of the ship and light open spaces of the ocean with ice hummocks forces to estimate singularity of the moment.
In a great stately key the ancient subjects in work of the artist M. M. Nosov “Still life. Things for the front” (1942) are written. Soft modulations of folds of silk gleam, silver of jewelry shines, the secret of ancient patterns excites. These subjects were stored in the Yakut families as relics and heritage, passing from father to son and as the most expensive are brought on an altar of future victory.
The graphic series “Victory and World” of A. P. Munkhalov became a peculiar requiem about a feat and immortality of the soldier. Anonymous soldiers, in a uniform rush the thrown-up guns, cover a sky height the blossoming salutes, birds – messengers of peace (“Victory”) soar up; the soldier flying with a banner over the darling earth (“Memory”).
E.S. Sivtsev graphic series “Great Patriotic War” crowns long-term creative searches of the artist. The lithographs are full of events and plot, are connected among themselves by a uniform plan and located in a certain sequence. The short stories recreating life in the father places (“Farewell”, “The Letter from the Front”, “Returned”), alternate with plots fighting, narrating about force and invincibility of defenders of the Homeland.
The victory in the lithograph of the same name is presented by the graphic artist not so much as deification of a great victory at walls of a prostrate Reichstag, and as a long-awaited and relentless result of heavy work of soldiers, old men, women and children in the back who passed through a terrible hearth of war.
The special place in his creativity of the graphic artist V. R. Vasiliev is taken by the works treating a subject of war in the philosophical and poetic plan. Lithographs “Missing Person”, “Grief” (1970) distinguishes special timeless scale. In them historical and concrete time is overcome: as if through years, through a distance of distance and time fog of oblivion dissipates and the beautiful, young face of the soldier, missing person on war tracks breaks to us.
The hero of a graphic series of the remarkable artist Vladimir Semenovitch Karamzin “Soldiers” (1967) is the defender, the soldier. This hero has the generalized, collective character. The personal, individual beginning is extremely shaded, it is “the person with the gun”, in it the artist emphasizes, first of all, force, determination, courage. The powerful monumental figure of the soldier who directed in attack, which is laconically outlined against the sky with flashes of weapon volleys, its sharp diagonal movement, a vigorous stroke of the linocut express the terrible, all-conquering, indestructible force (“The Soldier of Patriotic War”).
In the sheet “The Victory Ysyakh” from the “People of the Sorgutchaan River” series of Efim Mikhailovitch Shaposhnikov before the viewer the wide populous panorama of national festival in honor of a victory is developed. The figures located circles form a set of circles – an ancient solar symbol, space sign, – leaving deep into to the horizon. The people strongly integrated in circular mass actions of a national holiday, act as part of the universe and personify a real symbol of the Victory, mighty and invincible, excitingly the solemn.
The most heartrending experiences fell to lot of women in days of the Great Patriotic War: mothers, sisters and wives saw off men on the front and didn't know, whether the happiness will be led up them to meet the relatives.
Composition from metal of E. I. Pakhomov “The Soldier's Mother” (1985) according to the decision is monumental, strictly balanced, at an external statics is full of deep internal tension. In it severity, expectation, a grief, hope and clearly readable press of that hard share which dropped out in military years to women are imprinted.
The feeling of big filial love, a tribute to the woman – the wife and mother, the sculptor V. V. Bochkaryov managed to transfer in a portrait “Vera Yakovlevna Savvina - the Soldier's Widow”, 1985. This image embodied by the author connects with concrete historical destiny of the Soviet soldier in the Great Patriotic War. Vera Yakovlevna Savvina, having seen off in 1942 on the front her husband – Savvin Vasily Ionovich, until the very last day of her life she waited for return of the husband soldier who was in the war missing.
In the works authors opened a bright palette of the events and feelings endured on the way to a victory: a moral pettiness of the enemy and crash of fascism, military glory of the Soviet soldiers, front everyday life of soldiers, dedication of women, and at last, that pleasure of a victory which entered each house together with messages in letters from the front, with return home of winners, with the first days of the world.
For present generations the Great Patriotic War is already history which they study on various documentary sources, books, memoirs, literary works and all types of arts. The further those difficult and heroic years leave, the more obvious grandness of our victory appears. Therefore the Great Patriotic War of war was, is and for a long time remains to one of the most exciting, hot and leading topics of art creativity.
