At the heart of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra are iconic, unique performances that span the globe, and incorporate the finest artists and venues of our generation. From a 10th year anniversary celebration at Carnegie Hall, to electrifying performances featuring Dee Dee Bridgewater, awe and wonder are the objectives when the Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra take the stage. 
It's no secret that Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005. From the creation of the Elysian Trumpet, to the creation of the Peoples Health New Orleans Jazz Market - the first performing arts center dedicated to Jazz performances, built in New Orleans - we actively work to rebuild and protect our precious community.  

Originally Part of the Dryads Market, this discount department store (Gators) was converted into a world class performing arts center, and home for the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Civic leaders, community organizers and musicians attend.

The ribbon cutting of the Peoples Health New Orleans Jazz Market marked a new era in New Orleans' history. Central City, New Orleans, was forever changed when the Market opened. Jazz was at its rightful place - at the center of rebirth, rebuilding, economic development and community engagement. 

The PHNOJM is a versatile, world-class performing arts facility that serves as home to Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Family programs, live concerts, live streaming and a digital archive are a some of the available offerings.
