During the 1720s and 1730s, various types of porcelain, such as wucai, famille rose, and faience porcelain, influenced each other. This large plate combines several techniques, primarily imari and famille rose. A small amount of green enamel embellishes the bird feathers and butterfly wings. The plate has an inner rim with four decorative windows and brocade-like patterns inspired by Canton enamel decoration styles, while the outer rim features full and smooth dark floral designs.
