An example of Wyspiański’s interest in nature painting is a set of three views of the Kościuszko Mount in Krakow. The severely ill artist painted the landscape as it appeared through his studio window, capturing the changing effects of the winter weather, a foggy morning, an overcast dusk and the February thaw.
