This piece of cloth was once used as a wedding attire in Madura, East Java back in 1937. The batik has 'jlamprang' pattern, a symbol for the ever turning universe. The gold substance also known as 'prada', consisted of gold dust, nettle-seed oil and resin carefully painted by hand using a flat stylus.
