The 10th anniversary of the Cité des arts du cirque, combined with the 30th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil, provided a celebratory context in which to create a mural highlighting the contribution of circus arts to Montreal’s cultural development. In addition to marking the gateway to the circus hub, the mural helps to embellish this public space, rendering the Metropolitan highway infrastructure more cheerful and better integrated in its urban landscape along Crémazie Boulevard. Created using stencils and primary colors, local citizens were able to take part in the creation Thomas Csano’s bright mural.
