A permanent symbol of redemption, this ball was used in David Beckham's successful penalty conversion against Argentina at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Four years prior, Beckham had been controversially dismissed for kicking out at Argentine midfielder Diego Simeone; his teammates would go on to lose the Second Round fixture on penalties.

The two rivals were drawn together again in Korea / Japan, and Beckham would gain some measure of revenge after Michael Owen was fouled in the area by Mauricio Pochettino. Becks' spot kick was hammered down the centre of the goal, helping England secure the narrowest of victories.
