One of the founding members of the Nouveau Realisme (New Realism) art movement in which artists sought to bring life and art closer together, Arman is known for abstractions, accumulations, assemblages, and object impression artworks. One of his admired techniques—used in his creation for this poster design—was layered prints made from impressions of assorted objects dipped in paint.
