248 km Wild Garden – A Beautiful Border is a sample garden reconfiguring the plant life forms of the DMZ. Each sample, collected from actual border areas, is representative of the flora there. This sample exhibit will inspire imaginations. The three terrariums are microcosmic profiles of the wetland, flatland and mountain habitats of the DMZ. The moss garden replicates the environment of the underground tunnels in the DMZ. The glass employed throughout conveys a simultaneous “accepting” or “blocking” of things, representing the central contradictory property of the DMZ.
