"Supraorganism" is a reactive installation by Justine Emard, which will be developed during an artist residency at ZKM | Hertz-Lab starting in September 2020. The installation consists of robotic glass sculptures that are brought to life by means of neural networks trained on the behavior of bees.
The implementation of machine learning will be done in close collaboration with the French AI developer Martial Geoffre Rouland. This artistic project around the memory of bees and their collective intelligence explores the patterns of the presence of bees on the earth up to the prediction of their possible future.
