A chowki is made in different shapes and sizes. This chowki was constructed similar to that of a takhat. It was recorded in a haveli which was being looked after by caretakers, with the family having moved away. Most of the furniture items were left behind in the haveli. This chowki was believed to have belonged to the daughter-in-law of the house, who had brought it with her when she got married into the family.
