First flown on February 6, 1969, the Boeing 747 ushered in the era of the “Jumbo Jet.” Still in production, Boeing delivered its 1,500th 747 to German-based Lufthansa in 2014. With this delivery, the 747 is the first wide-body commercial aircraft in history to reach this milestone. This extraordinary cut-away model allows visitors, many who have never flown commercially, to see the inside configuration of this historic aircraft. The model is painted in the colors of Japan Airlines from 1951 through 1989.
