Emilio Rizzi, a civil engineer who died in 1912, had contributed his own money to the donations that his brother Dr. Giovanni, primary physician of the Maggiore Hospital, made to his hospital (the first of 100,000 lire when he stops working, the second of 260,000 lire for the extension of the "Cesarina Riva" urological pavilion, the third of 300,000 lire to the Clinical Specialization Institutes, annexed to the Maggiore Hospital and commissioned by Luigi Mangiagalli, for the completion of the Institute of Biological Chemistry).
