8c Missouri Statehood stamp

The 8-cent Missouri Statehood commemorative postage stamp was first placed on sale at Independence, Missouri, on May 8, 1971. Bradbury Thompson created the overall stamp design. It was issued in sheets of fifty, with an initial printing of 130 million.
