The Garden on the Sea

Born in Harbin, Heilongjiang in 1929. In 1949, he joined the National Peiping Art College (the predecessor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts) to study painting. He was taught by Xu Beihong, Dong Xiwen, Jiang Zhaohe and Ye Shaoyu. In 1953, he joined the graduate class of Painting Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts. After graduation, he became a professor and member of China Art Association in Beijing Academy of Art and Central Academy of Fine Arts. In oil painting, she loves the blending of light and color of impressionism, pays attention to the overall structure and effect, and the blending of emotion and scenery. Her use of color is to find a harmonious color in the strong complementary color contrast, and a contrast color in the slightly different coordinated color, so that the use of color and light interweave and glow, resulting in a hazy, confused, illusory and peaceful feeling.
