The meal was served for Joseph on the one hand, for the brothers on another and for the Egyptian diners on yet another, because the Egyptians cannot take food with the Jews: that would be an abomination.
They took their places in front of him from the firstborn to the youngest, each in order of age, and looked at each other in wonder.
Joseph had portions brought to them from his own table, but Benjamin's portion was five times more abundant than that of all the others. And with him they drank until they were happy.
