Choleric, Painted Scheme, Bolsover Castle

This is one of four paintings in the first room from the Little Castle. The original series is by Maertin de Vos and this was expanded and altered to reference Cavendish. The club was originally an oar and it represents Hercules, and the rope was originally a snake that continues to curl around as a snake would.
