This is a frontal portrait of a civil official from the Qing Dynasty. He is wearing a pufu over a blue robe, while holding a court necklace in his left hand and laying his right hand upon his thigh. The silk rooster rank badge identifies a second rank civil official. There is also a colorfully designed rug, and a chair covered with a fancy gold thread weaving.
