Koleksiyon’da “Abidin” imzalı tarihsiz Köylü Kadın portresi anonim bir portredir; köylü kadının yüz hatları ve silueti lekeci kalın siyah çizgilerle, neredeyse stilize edilerek verilmiştir. Umutsuz ve de yazgısına razı izlenimi veren ifadesi, testiyi tutan ellerinin de katkısıyla etkileyici biçimde verilmiştir. Yapıt bir sosyal eleştiri olarak da değerlendirilebilir.

The undated Peasant Woman portrait, signed “Abidin” and part of the collection, is an anonymous depiction. The facial features and silhouette of the peasant woman are rendered with thick, blotchy black lines, almost in a stylized manner. Her expression—conveying a sense of hopelessness and resignation to fate—is powerfully conveyed, further enhanced by the way she holds the water jug. The work can also be interpreted as a form of social criticism.
