"This painting shows a Sitges view taken from a high point of view, specifically form the Ribes Cross, placed near the road that joins the villages of Sitges and St. Pere de Ribes.
At the back stands out the white Sitges city centre dominated by the church, silhouetted on the blue sea. On the village far right we can see the smoking chimneys, witness of the emerging industrialization.
This was the Sitges, dominated by white and blue colours that captivated the lightness painters group that at the end of the XIX century settled there temporarily or permanently with the aim to catch its light."
