Peasants in an Inn

The painting is a good example of Brouwer’s inexhaustible richness of ideas and illustrates his ability to create precise situations with a few strokes. As always with Brouwer, the faces are most exquisite, expressing the different stages of drunkenness and festive cheer of the peasants.
