Portrait of Caterina Guglielmini Ballerio

Caterina Guglielmini decided with her husband, the major Enrico Ballerio, to honor the memory of their son Giovanni, a doctor at the Ospedale Maggiore, who died heroically in 1917 at the front in Gorizia, where he served as a medical lieutenant, by appointing the hospital as heir and asking for the creation of three commemorative portraits.
