Weber held degrees in zoology, botany and art. He worked as a scientific illustrator for the Chicago Field Museum (now the Chicago Museum of Natural History); the Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago; and the Texas Memorial Museum, where he painted diaroma backgrounds for exhibits. Weber later worked for the Smithsonian Institution, National Park Service, and the National Geographic Society. In 1967, the artist was awarded the highest civilian honor the U.S. Department of the Interior can bestow, the Conservation Service Award.
