The dormition of Our Lady (Uspenie)

The scene of the Dormition of the Virgin is represented on her deathbed, she has her hands crossed and surrounded by the apostles. In the center of the scene Christ is holding her soul in the form of a newborn. In the top of the scene angels are positioned to lead the soul of the Virgin to heaven. St. Peter, on the foreground left, is swinging a censer and St. Paul stands on the right.
