Village in the Sogne Fjord with Local Cargo Boats

A fishing village at the banks of the longest and deepest fjord in Norway and second longest in the world. Three local cargo boats, called "jekte" is moored at the docks. The mighty mountains in the distance.

Normann was the first artist from Northern Norway to establish himself as a painter and was well known for his picturesque paintings of Norwegian fjords. He has been given much of the credit for the Norwegian efforts to become a major tourist attraction.
