Vale of Clwyd

John Lewis Roget (1828 - 1908) recorded that Fielding first visited the Vale of Clwyd in 1808 in his book 'History of the Old Watercolour Society', published in 1891. The style of this watercolour view of the Vale suggests however that it was painted later than this.
