Bust of a young woman, from the front, slightly turned to the left. long face and nose. big, brown eyes; thin, dark eyebrows; small mouth, black hair, wavy, split in half and pulled back; left ear visible with pendant ring. Closed dress, in yellow and ocher tones, white collar with bow of the same color; on her neck: short golden chain with two oval medals. In a distant plane, silhouettes of men in combat, standing on the left, man on horseback, with red scarf and cap. Narrow golden wood frame with decoration at the edges Signature: j. r. ferreira - rio 933 in black ink, in the lower right corner. The portrait is Ana Maria de Jesus Ribeiro, better known as Anita Garibaldi (Laguna / SC, August 30, 1821 - Ravenna, Italy, August 4, 1849). She was the companion of Giuseppe Garibaldi and known as the "Heroine of the Two Worlds".
