A coach-fitter at work

Countless tradesmen used to earn a living from the humble horse and cart. In 2002 master saddler Beat Niederberger of Gossau near St. Gallen set up shop in front of the museum. While redoing the upholstery of an old horse-drawn sleigh, he answered visitors’ questions about his work, materials and tools.
