The fan shows the wedding of Louis XV to Maria Leszczyńska in the allegorical scene at the altar of the spouses, connected by Hymen. Behind Louis stands Mars with his retinue, Maria is accompanied by Venus and the three Graces. The space is filled with clouds. At the top of the middle one there is the god Apollo with a cithara, below, Hora pouring flowers and two allegories: Duration and Time. On the clouds on the sides sit Jupiter with an eagle and Juno with a peacock. In the front, on the right, there is Neptune with two teeth, and below Juno, Cerera with a sheaf. The background of the main composition is filled with allegorical performances and images of two musical groups – female and male.
