Etching print titled- A Feal Chara, from the series Boats of Bengal. ‘Feal Chara’ was a richly decorated boat provided with a canopy, it was primarily a luxury boat meant for princes and their entourage and propelled by a large number of oarsmen.
It is a part of the extensive work by Flemish Artist Francois Balthazar Solvyns, whose portrayal of the people and culture of Bengal is amongst the richest visual records of India in the late 18th Century.
