This agitprop exhibition was arranged in the rooms of Nicholas I in the Palace. Portraits of his companions-in-arms were hung crooked on the walls. His military uniform was fixed on the throne and the symbols of Imperial power — the crown and the orb and cross — were thrown at its feet.
