A Gift of Happiness (天官赐福) belongs to a typical woodcut theme in China (which related to a myth of Taoism). The figures are vividly depicted with strokes of strong contrast. The lines just naturally follow the grain of the wood. The artist Ye Fu is inspired by styles of Soviet Union, Japan, France and Belgium, etc. and mix the woodcut painting with Chinese folk arts, and the audience can often get a sense of infectious enthusiasm from his work.
