Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) is traditionally considered one of the most important centres of flamenco art. The list of flamenco artists in its three disciplines - singing, dancing and playing - is one of the most extensive in the whole of Andalusia. From Tío José de Paula to Sordera, José Mercé or Fernando Terremoto, through La Macarrona, Manuel Torre, Antonio Chacón, Javier Molina, Tío Borrico or La Piriñaca, to name but a few, they are among the greatest interpreters of this art, all born in this southern Andalusian city.
