The concept of the them A Gust of Autumn Wind (满架秋风) is originated from Zheng Banqiao’s couplet “A rain of spring brings sprouts; The A Gust of Autumn Wind brings fruits”. This piece of freehand flower-and-bird ink painting has dense composition. The bushes and flowers with also possess dense leaves and fruits. The artist aimed to strengthen the overall visual tension and to show the vigor and vitality of the nature.
