XM) CRICKET KEEPS OPEN FOR MRS. WILLOW Drawing to a close of the Cricket Season means no respite for 64-year-old Mrs. Nellie Cochrane, of Lewes, Sussex, for her the season of manufacturing cricket bats is really just starting. Turning out 3 dozen bats a week, Mrs. Cochrane with the help of her husband, William, claims to be the only woman making cricket bats in the country. For 35 years the Cochranes have been making Cricket bats, 75% of their production going to Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and the Tonga Island. Some of the machinery has been hand made by Mr. Cochrane which he has trained his wife to use.
