Seoul, South Korea

Mo Bahc performed an act of diplomatic Korean- style shamanism when he presented a drawing of an amulet that would actualize the reunification of Korea. Amulets after his design were in fact sent to the presidents or prime ministers of South Korea, North Korea, The United States, The Soviet Union, Japan, and China on November 21, 1988. Bahc provided instructions that the leaders of the six countries should “burn the amulet and mix the ashes in a cup of water and drink it simultaneously” whilst “sincerely making the wish for reunification ... and the dissolution of the Demilitarized Zone.”
