A jewellery-maker for over two decades, Koh’s creations gleam with an appreciation for the natural landscape. Working primarily in silver, she infuses her pieces with a melange of materials such as wood, stone, enamel, and plastic. Her collection featuring miniature landscape paintings was acquired by the Korea’s National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
A frisson of spontaneity embellishes this collection
of contemporary brooches. Layering walnut wood and acrylic, Koh arranges each individual object by oscillating between strength and speed to effect unique outcomes. Adorned with small silver scales, each piece unfolds like a microcosmic story; a multifaceted narrative whose common theme is experimentation. The whimsical blend of natural wood with plastic turns each piece into a small-scale study of the unconventional and unexpected.
