A Salon in Schloss Fasanerie, Vogue

The Philippsruhe Room of Schloss Fasanerie, the baroque palace that is the family home of the Hesse family (His and Her Royal Highness Moritz of Hesse), near Fulda, Germany. An oval portrait of Princess Anna of Prussia by Winterhalter hangs above a chest. The walls are covered in a red-and-white brocade which matches the chairs that Grand Duchess Alexandra brought from Russia in 1844.
