Kete. Bag. For carrying personal items. Kete is woven from rauara (pandanus leaf) strips with dyed-black apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decoration). Rectangular in shape. The kete has a patara (serrated) decorative rim. Overlaid dyed-black strips of apuraka form surface pattern which covers the entirity of the sides of the kete. Pattern is known as pupu (stepped) pattern, across both sides of kete. Ara veri (bordered rows of twilled twos) pattern is along upper area of kete. Single braided tatai (handle).
