Here she stands with her fellow member of the AFL Gertrude Elliott as they prepare to take part in the Coronation procession organised by the Women's Social and Political Union a week before the official coronation of King George V. The AFL was founded in 1908 and attracted women from all areas of the theatrical profession who supported female suffrage, including militants and non-militants.
