In 1923, Adelaide opened the Technical and Industrial School for Girls in Freetown. She wrote several short stories such as ‘Mista Courifer’ featured in , Langston Hughes’ ‘African Treasury’. collection. She left a strong legacy for girls education, advancement of women, and cultural pride.
