Between 1970 and 1974 I made many works, which are the origin and root of everything I do today. The African" alphabet, to which others followed (...) never ceased to be present in all my artistic production, even the most distant from that period, functioning as a kind of matrix or plot, in which other symbols and codes develop and progress."
